Abstract

Agriculture is vital in India, but many small farmers face challenges. They struggle with late information, high farming costs, language issues, and limited access to technology. This project presents "Farmer AI Assistant," a multilingual smart farming chatbot meant to assist Indian farmers with weather updates, crop advice, pest detection, fertilizer suggestions, voice interaction, and a unique shared economy resource pooling system. The chatbot works in English, Hindi, and Kannada using language translation and voice recognition. It is built with Python, Flask, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Open Weather API, and Google Translator libraries. Unlike traditional farming chatbots, this system offers a feature for sharing resources like tractors, seeds, fertilizers, and transport. The project shows how affordable AI systems can improve access and decision-making in agriculture. The proposed system is lightweight, user-friendly, and suitable for rural communities.
