Abstract

Water management has become a critical issue in modern agriculture due to increasing water scarcity and inefficient irrigation practices. Traditional irrigation methods rely on manual control and fixed schedules, often leading to excessive or insufficient watering. This paper presents an IoT -based smart watering system that automates irrigation using real-time soil moisture data and enables remote monitoring through a mobile application. The system integrates sensors, a micro controller, cloud connectivity, and a user interface to optimize water usage and improve plant health. The proposed solution reduces human intervention, minimizes water wastage, and provides an efficient and scalable approach to smart irrigation.
