Abstract

Rapid urbanization and the growing number of vehicles have made parking management a major challenge in modern cities. Conventional parking systems are often inefficient, leading to traffic congestion, increased fuel consumption, and driver frustration due to the time spent searching for available spaces. A Smart Vehicle Parking Management System aims to address these issues by leveraging advanced technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), wireless sensor networks, and cloud computing. The proposed system uses sensors installed in parking slots to detect vehicle presence in real time. This data is transmitted to a centralized server, where it is processed and made accessible to users through a mobile or web application. Drivers can view available parking spaces, reserve slots in advance, and receive navigation assistance to the selected location. Additionally, the system can incorporate automated billing and payment features, reducing the need for manual intervention. By optimizing parking space utilization and minimizing search time, the system helps reduce traffic congestion and environmental pollution. It also enhances user convenience and supports smart city initiatives by improving urban mobility infrastructure. Overall, the Smart Vehicle Parking Management System provides an efficient, scalable, and user-friendly solution to modern parking challenges.
